Hi! My name is Athena Behar.
I am a multi-media artist from Seattle currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
With a passionate interest in sustainable design and textiles, my work practice indulges my love for creating hands-on work through detail oriented experimentation with materials, processes, and ideas. My style is most inspired by whimsical imagery and surrealist themes which I employ to create expressive designs.
Through practices of drawing, painting, sculpture, and sewing/apparel design, I aim to use what I have learned in exploring these mediums to create art that not only harnesses my own passions but fosters inspiration in everyone around me. I enjoy collaborating with others and believe in the integration of creativity from people of all ages and backgrounds to create art that is enjoyable and impactful.
